Infantry Support MG

Standard Infantry Support MG

A traditional semi-portable infantry support MG, this weapon is not easily moved, but provides great range and devastating burst fire against unprotected infantry units in its sights. Easily available and with common ammunition, the weapon is popular and not difficult to procure, though best employed with a static defensive position.

The oldest support weapon type, the MG is still the most popular. Generally using a larger calibre and rate of fire than standard assault rifles, they are heavier, more expensive, and tend to burn through ammunition reserves very rapidly. Compared to other support weapons, however, they remain simple to maintain and inexpensive enough to see wide distribution.

“Hardline” HMG

The “Hardline” HMG is produced by Terramatrix Industrial Salvage, from an abandoned production line from the Davion Lee-Metford Corporation. Using a 14.7mm round, it is deployed as both an infantry support weapon, or as a vehicle-mounted anti-infantry weapon, finding equal use in both services. TerraIS uses them mostly as their home-grown weapon for deployment on their FLE-4 Fleas and produces parts for the national military.

The gun also sees export to other national military units, where it is used in various production applications and military support services.
