Taurus GTA Carbine

Description:

Designed by Forgas Taurus of The Federative Republic of San Marcos as a national replacement for the HG-762 “Holy Grail” Assault Rifle, this self-loading assault rifle was designed as the lead of a line including a pistol and SMG designed to all fire the same 9mm ammunition. Taurus GTA Carbine w/ bi-pod deployed

Using a pistol-caliber ammunition as a base, the Taurus GTA Carbine was designed as a means to consolidate ammunition demands, as well as provide a cheaper source for munitions. Announced in 3021, the initial runs were progressing, when the start of the 3024 Small War ramped-up its manufacture and deployment across the army. The sudden end of governmental controls in 3025, followed by the collapse of the military and government contracts, led to the facility coming under the control of several warlords, all of whom have pillaged the facilities of its production, to the point the plant now produces mostly parts and ammunition.

Today, the weapon still sees some production in San Marcos, but many of its development and production staff were in the process of producing the design under The Republic of Buntar’s FAMAE national corporation, and remain in that nation, supplying the weapon and its munitions to that national government. An initial raid during the collapse of the San Marcos border during the 3025 Outworld Virus, was the facilities of Taurus Forjas, where several key tools were salvaged, along with many of their corporate plans. The weapon now sees limited production under the Buntar FAMAE banner.
