Description:
Eléna (De La Vega) Serrate is the wife of Manuel Serrate, and despite her young age , matron of the extensive Serrate clan. She is considered Lady (Major) Heather Jemmas closest friend.
In addition to her early training in finishing schools, she has learned the social requirements of being the matron of an extensive and wealthy Sangrian family. She spent time in the military, and is both a competent marksman, as well as knowledgeable in various martial arts. As the reigning national sword-fighting champion for three years running, she is masterful in the use of the sabre and foil. She is noted as a skilled horseman.
Although difficult to give a classification, Eléna could be rated a Regular Political NPC, with skills in small arms, horsemanship and fencing.
Bio:
Eléna (De La Vega) Serrate was born to a wealthy rancher from the capital district of Sangria, Diego De La Vega. She attended all the proper schools, and eventually had her pick of advanced institutions to attend. She chose the national military college. Although few women are able to attend, her father’s connections let her attend and eventually she graduated as a junior officer in the Sangrian Royal Guards.
Serving in the military (mostly as an example of “progressive hiring strategies” by the government) for several years, she became the national sword-fighting champion. Eléna was eventually introduced to Manuel Serrate by her hopeful parents, and following a whirlwind engagement, retired from the military to become his wife. They have one very young son, Joaquin, whom everyone in the clan dotes upon. He is slated to inherit her parent’s estates in the capital.
Eléna remains responsible for the social activities of the family, and is its undisputed lady. She is also well-travelled, and maintains connections throughout the district with the women of every industrialist family and hosts the most popular parties in the region.
